With your help we are making a real difference for Dalit Children.

Sandip and Rosmi are brothers. There dad left a few years ago, leaving their mum Gayatri to look after them. When the new Dalit school opened, Sandip and Rosmi became the first in their family ever to go to school. Since then, their mum has also got a job in the school as a cleaning lady, and the boys are getting a good education. Nitinkumar's wages were important to his family but his dad wanted the best for his son and sent him to the new Dalit Education Centre. Although life is not easy his dad is very excited that his dreams for his family are starting to come true.
Nagendra's parents are very poor, but they want their children to have a better life. They are very excited about the new Dalit school. Shiv and his wife say that the whole village is filled with light and life now that the school is open! Shanthi, age 5 comes from a very poor family. Her dad died may years ago and now her mum is ill and can't work. It was fantastic when the school manager said that Shanthi wouldn't have to pay for the Dalit school and could start immediately!
